About me

Qualification

Bachelor of Science (Sport Science, Exercise and Health) and Bachelor of Science (Exercise Rehabilitation) 2011 University of Western Australia

Clinical Journey

Kelsey has worked in a number of different roles as an Exercise Physiologist, predominantly in the areas of chronic disease management and aged care.

Most she worked as a Therapy Assistant with Community Physiotherapy and a Health Coach and Program Facilitator on a healthy lifestyle program for children and their families.

After having a child with a disability herself and being thrown into the world of early intervention therapy, Kelsey has a new found drive to work in paediatrics and help other children work towards their goals and reach their full potential.

Kelsey will be working as a Therapy Assistant under the guidance of the professional multidisciplinary team at the hub. She is in a unique position to combine her background in allied health and personal experience as a parent to the families she works with.

Special Interests

Kelsey is passionate about promoting physical literacy in children and giving them the confidence, skills and knowledge to enjoy physical activity and create lifelong activity habits. She feels she can play a pivotal role in creating positive experiences and fostering the enjoyment of movement through play based activities in the early years and helping children develop movement skills to participate in and enjoy a wide range of activities.

Kelsey is a big advocate for using a multidisciplinary approach in activities and creating holistic therapy sessions. Kelsey also enjoys using music to promote speech and movement development and is always keen for some singing and dancing!

Why babies and children?

I love the challenge, fun and creativity that working with children brings and having the opportunity to make a positive difference to someone’s life. Watching children grow and develop is such a privilege and I look forward to sharing milestones and achievements with children and families at the hub. What better way to spend a workday!

Non work life

Kelsey is a very lucky mother of three. She loves all things food (both cooking and eating!), enjoys trying new recipes and even making the kids lunchboxes! Kelsey enjoys exploring new playgrounds and having picnics with her family, getting outdoors for a walk and jigsaw puzzles in her spare time!
