Meet Kate...

Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) with Honours at The University of Cumbria
Experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist in Ireland and for Melville OT.
Kate enjoys working with children with disabilities, supporting mental health, and sensory needs.
Kate is a Sensory Integration Practitioner with the Sensory Integration Network and completed additional sensory training.

Kate has completed completed the following extra training

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule,
Second Edition (ADOS-2) Training for the Clinical Setting,
Social Communication/ Emotional Regulation/ Transactional Support (SCERTS) training,
Training to support children with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
Training in CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) model,
Training in the SSP (Safe & Sound Protocol),
Training in relation to sleep and executive functioning skills.

Appointments now available at the Walky Talky Hub in partnership with Melville OT.

Senior Occupational therapist, Kate Monaghan, will be joining us on Tuesday mornings fortnightly beginning in July.

While working at Walky Talky Kate will be running an OT clinic rather than a permanent caseload.

Children will be allocated an OT place in the clinic for one school term. During these sessions Kate will work towards a clear family goal.
