Psychology Journey

Lydia loves working with young people and their families. She has experience working in school settings, private practice and the department of health. At Walky Talky will be conducting childhood ADHD and cognitive assessments. She will also be providing therapy for anxiety, specific phobia, OCD and emotion regulation difficulties. Lydia is warm, friendly and holistic in her approach.

Why babies and children?

I love working with children and young people because it gives me the opportunity to step into their wonderfully creative minds and see the world from their view. I am always amazed at how insightful and resilient children can be. I believe that kids do well when they can (Dr Ross Greeene) and I’m here to teach children and their parents the strategies they need to do just that. I also feel very privileged to hear families stories and identify their strengths as a system.

Non work life

Lydia knows the importance of self-care and is down at the beach or exploring world whenever she gets the chance. She loves to delve into a good book or podcast, especially if it's anything related to mental health. Lydia is very passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and wants to celebrate different brains and ways of thinking.
