Physiotherapy Journey
Mitch has 9 years of experience as a Physiotherapist across the public health and disability sectors here in Perth. He has worked with young children and their families with Rocky Bay and the Child Development Service.
Special Interests
Mitch has extensive experience in working with babies and toddlers with gross motor delay, with a special interest in coaching parents and helping them to understand movement and how we develop skills through play together. As a person with cerebral palsy, Mitch also has an interest in supporting kids with disabilities to get the best start in life to support them to reach their potential. Much like the Physio’s who supported him and his family, he really values being able to pass on that knowledge and experience to others.
Why babies and children?
Working with kids is fun, and it is so rewarding seeing them being able to achieve that new skill and reach that milestone with the support of their families. Kids also offer us a great opportunity to develop these fundamental skills, so they can grow and learn in the strongest way possible.
Non work life
Mitch is an uncle to 3 and a rugby coach to a team of very big kids (adults). Outside of work you will find Mitch in the gym, on the rugby field or trying to keep up with his niece and nephews.
