And that's a wrap... tying the ribbon on 2021

2021....it was a big year for us both personally and for our business baby. Our first full year running the Walky Talky Baby Membership and we've again learnt so much from another year!

Here's our wrap up from each of us on the year that was 2021! 

The Walky Wrap Up 👣 

👣 Starting out and setting up

This year was a big one for our very first WT baby model Miss E who started kindy. My focus for the year was setting up some smart systems to make getting out the door each morning and juggling all the extra school information (man there is a lot of it!!) easier. 

I hit the laminator hard and after trialing a couple of options we have a morning checklist and a week plan that have made a BIG difference in getting out the door on time with everyone still in a good mood!

👣 Finally a finished project

This is the baby blanket I started knitting for Baby F who is now 2 YEARS OLD! #mumfail

When I was about 35 weeks pregnant Chiara and I started "Craftiness" a 2 woman club for crafting and business. Chiara reminded me how to knit and we started nutting out this business idea we have had bouncing around our heads for years.

A few weeks in we got WAY too excited about what was to become Walky Talky Baby and the knitting was put on the back burner.

Of course I then had a baby and it was another year before we launched our business baby... and the knitting continued to wait 😂.

2 years on the blanket is finally finished and being used as a doll blanket.... and I have started a NEW project. Yes we are going to need another blanket 🤰!

👣 New member of the clan

Yes there is a new member of the Walky Talky clan due to join us in March 2022! I'm sure his arrival will generate lots of new content and ideas for our members ... and maybe a little more chaos for camp Walky ... but hey one of us has been pregnant or had a newborn this whole journey so we know we can do it all again!!

 🗣 Baby Land

My biggest achievement of 2021 is of course my baby boy, 'Baby O'.

Born at the end of May, he has been such a joy and I have honestly loved the transition to being a mum of 2. That's not to say there hasn't been challenges....we had an emotional big sister and lack of sleep of course, but we've come through the other side, and now 6 months in (!!) and life has a sort of rhythm back to it!

With my year divided into being pregnant or having a young baby....there really isn't much else to report on, but we have been totally happy to have soaked up baby land this year. 

🗣 Big School

We're busy getting Miss I ready for 'big school' next year - my baby starts kindy! She is so excited and we know she'll love it....but I do feel like this next chapter is bittersweet. One more year and then it will be full time school! 

👣🗣 The Walky Talky Baby Wrap Up!

It's been a big year for both of us personally, but also for our business baby! We have welcomed so many wonderful parents into our membership this year and have loved getting to know them and their babies.

We get the biggest smiles on our faces when we see members renew their membership for 6 more months when their initial membership package runs out. 

We've also been super busy putting together new freebies for our community - the Baby Play Checklist, First Birthday Gift Guide and 5 ways to play blog series. From the amount of downloads we got from these freebies, we know you guys loved them!

We look forward to another year with you all and thank you for your ongoing support. We love doing what we do because of you all!
