How to set up a play space for your new baby
Apr 28, 2021Play spaces - what does your baby need for playtime?
There’s so many checklists out there to help you get prepared for the arrival of a new baby. What clothes to buy, what to buy for the nursery….bath….feeding stuff…BUT what about PLAY? Play is essential for your baby’s learning, bonding and mental health… Newborn play is extremely important but it doesn’t have to be complicated or instagramable.
When we became mums we quickly learned babies need a lot of stuff for sleeping and feeding. After living in shoe boxes in London we thought our current houses were ample until that tiny newborn... and ALL their stuff arrived! 😂
The shopping list was long; there were bottles and sleep suits, a bassinet, a cot and breast pads... but what about the ‘play’ part of the feed, play, sleep cycle? Babies develop through play, they need connection and stimulation just like milk and sleep... but we couldn’t find that list anywhere! So we got together and designed it just for you! A checklist of simple items to have on hand that can support your baby’s development too.
